Virtualization Administrator Full Time Opportunity Location: North Dallas area (WFH flexibility)

REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related area) preferred
6+ years of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining various types of server hardware
Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments
Strong VDI background with experience managing and monitoring systems
Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
Advanced knowledge, DNS, DHCP
Proficient with Group Policy design and configuration
Proficient with Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration
Ability to troubleshoot network issues including backbone infrastructure issues
Ability to diagnose & address system issues
Must have good analytical and organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency in solving problems
Must have effective written and verbal communication skills, and be extremely customer service oriented
DAILY DUTIES
Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions
Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls
Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software and associated operating systems
Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and VMware technologies
Serve as a top tier escalation point for complex Service Desk requests
Installation and on-going administration support for operating systems
Manage servers, including email, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems/software
Manage enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure
Manage data center infrastructure including compute, storage and virtualization components
Monitor and test system performance and provide statistics and reports
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations
Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
Mentor/cross train team members on existing and new technologies
Represent the IT Infrastructure team in various companywide projects and initiatives
