We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to support a short-term organizational initiative focused on modernizing and streamlining internal policies and procedures. This role is not IT-focused, nor does it require subject matter expertise in specific operational areas. Instead, it requires someone with strong experience in policy framework development, technical writing, and change management at the organizational level. You will lead the effort to review, refine, and update draft documents, many of which contain repetitive or inconsistent language. The goal is to create clear, effective, and easy-to-navigate policies and procedures that reflect best practices and support long-term sustainability.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related field, plus five (5) years of experience in a field related to the job, including two (2) years of which were in a project management capacity.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in policy and procedure development, technical writing, or organizational governance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing policy review processes across multiple departments or units.
  • Strong writing, editing, and document design skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and coordinate input from diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a regulated or public sector environment (e.g., healthcare, higher education, or government).
  • Familiarity with quality improvement or organizational development frameworks.
  • Prior involvement in building centralized document libraries or repositories

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review existing draft policies, procedures, and templates to ensure clarity, consistency, and organizational relevance.
  • Eliminate redundant or unclear language and align documents with best practices in policy development.
  • Recommend and help implement a structured policy management framework, including templates, naming conventions, and lifecycle processes.
  • Lead efforts to develop new policy and procedure templates tailored to the organization’s operational and communication needs.
  • Identify outdated or redundant policies and support the process of retiring or consolidating them.
  • Facilitate regular check-in meetings and progress updates with stakeholders.
  • Provide technical writing and editorial support across policy documents.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to organize and maintain a centralized policy library that is comprehensive, user-friendly, and logically structured.
