Deployment Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX
Contract: 2-3 year project

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
  • Project Management Certificate is preferred but not compulsory
  • Experience in overseeing rapid development software project and various stakeholders
  • Experience in highly advanced computer systems analysis work. Ability to understand system requirements, functional design specifications, and test cases
  • Experience with developing and/or interpreting software requirements to validate design and development  
  • Effective time management skills and ability to breakdown work into manageable tasks

Our client is in need of a Deployment Project Manager to assist with a significant systems upgrade. This is a long-term project requiring an individual that can work under minimal management direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The work involves a highly complex upgrade and deployment of their data systems.

The Deployment PM will be supporting a highly regarded national certifying organization and be responsible for outreach, engagement, and oversight of vendor integration during the planned deployment of the upgrade. The individual will develop, implement, and monitor strategic plan(s) to assist software vendors to standardize processes, identify best practices, and ultimately ensure vendor product readiness.

Daily Duties:
  • Oversee and monitor all vendor participation with the software upgrade and initiation plan
  • Establish milestones and tasks to ensure vendor readiness and timely validation of data submissions
  • Schedule and facilitate monthly meetings with each vendor to monitor progress and solicit feedback for the project teams
  • Identify, coordinate, and develop technical support resources to assist vendors with integration, support, and testing.
  • Work closely with training and support teams to review and solicit feedback on instruction and support materials
  • Coordinate test cases and User Acceptance Testing efforts
