Senior Oracle Logical Database Administrator/Developer
Location: Remote – must reside within Texas
Project Length: 12months + potential extension

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Database Administrator/Developer! We’re looking for a talented professional with 8+ years of experience in database management to design, develop, and optimize high-performance enterprise solutions. This is your chance to play a key role in shaping and enhancing our client’s innovative database systems.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in implementing, managing, and monitoring Oracle databases
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with a strong background in performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX and CI/CD workflows
  • Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, including star schemas
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and manage production databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Select and implement utility programs to monitor database performance, including record distribution and memory usage
  • Direct programmers and analysts in making changes to the database management system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions that drive business efficiency
  • Perform advanced performance tuning and troubleshoot to enhance application responsiveness
  • Automate database processes and streamline CI/CD workflows using modern tools and techniques
  • Evaluate user requests for new data elements and incorporate them into existing systems, ensuring data integrity
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data models and design specifications
  • Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance on best practices in database development and administration
  • Coordinate the use of data to ensure integrity and manage redundancy, including loading and reorganizing databases as needed
  • Monitor database performance, recommending efficiency improvements and creating test environments as necessary
  • Execute procedures for database backup, recovery, and security, including disaster recovery planning and compliance with security standards
  • Develop and enforce standards for database security and ensure user interfaces meet accessibility guidelines
  • Assist in the installation and analysis of database software, and participate in benchmarking and threshold testing
  • Provide technical support for database-related queries and ensure adherence to EIR accessibility standards
