Epic Systems Administrator #453

Our client, a leader in Healthcare Services, Education and Performance Improvement is currently in need of an Epic Systems Administrator for their Fort Worth facility. The Epic Systems Administrator will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, implementation, training, and support of systems in response to the organization’s needs.
*this is an immediate contract to hire opportunity


  • Ensure proper server or application maintenance
  • Assess the potential root causes of technical and application problems
  • Assist with solutions for new and emerging technologies for systems administration (software packages and applications, written or purchased, to assist and promote efficient use)
  • Act as liaison between other departments or user groups to determine needs and define goals
  • Document all information regarding incidents and requests in tracking system, as well as accurate documentation of inventory and software process flows within knowledge base
  • Respond to problems, requests, and support via the Help Desk took per Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards
  • May be asked to participate in 24x7 global support team as needed with on-call rotation
  • Stay current with new technology and advise on best practices
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering  OR equivalent work experience
  • Current Epic ECSA Certification or ability to gain certification within 6 months of employment
  • At least 3 years of direct Epic ECSA experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in managing Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Confirmation Protocol (DHCP) services
  • Experience in a Health Care environment including familiarity with HIPAA and other regulations that impact hospitals and clinics
  • Understanding of operating system concepts such as user and group ownership and file permissions, file system/volume group configuration, etc.
  • Experience with supporting Linux Red Hat (all versions)
  • Knowledge of PowerShell
  • Experience with supporting Cache database preferred
  • Other experience with Hyperspace Web, Networking, Interconnect, System Pulse, Business Continuity Access, EPS, System Performance Analytics, My Chart, Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, Hyperspace Client, Capacity Management, Scripting/Programming, VMware, Citrix, Windows Server Management
