Sr. Software Engineer #483

Our client is in need of a Software Engineer in their Boston, MA office with strong experience in C/C++ development in a Linux environment.  The candidate will work with a team of engineers to define, design, and implement applications. Daily Duties:
  • Program well-designed, testable, efficient code using C/C++ on Linux environment
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for performance
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Oversee the development of documentation
  • Document and maintain software functionality
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Ensure software is updated with latest features
  • Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals
Required Experience: 
  • Minimum BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of 7 years software development with n-depth experience designing, developing and testing real-time, fault-tolerant, highly available carrier-grade application software using C and C++ 
  • Experience in multithreaded, multiprocessor software development using pthreads, OpenMP, or MPI programming models on clustered deployments
  • Linux programming/development environment, GNU tool chain (Ubuntu, CentOS/Red Hat) 
  • Experience developing applications for GPGPU using CUDA or OpenCL
  • Experience in using version control tools such as ClearCase
  • Solid experience with network and socket programming in a multi-threaded environment 
  • Experience with integrating and developing with 3rd party/open-source libraries 
  • Solid understanding of IP Networking (TCP, UDP), SIP, VoLTE and IMS
