Lead QA Test Manager #612

Our healthcare client, is in need of a Lead QA Test Manager for a long-term project in Austin, TX.
**The Contractor will be working remotely initially and then required to work ON SITE in Austin, TX.
This is an elite organization relied upon to provide trustworthy, up to the minute data regarding infectious diseases and infection rates related to a variety of initiatives. The Contractor will be working on managing the testing of a redesigned system that will be augmented to track infection control assessments and response activities for pandemics or other infection prevention emergencies.  
Daily Duties:
  • Lead the development of quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes
  • Analyze business and technology requirements to ensure testability, traceability and determining testing scope and approach
  • Architect the test automation framework
  • Write and maintain test automation using UFT, Lean FT
  • Develop QA Test plans by identifying project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, and critical paths while ensuring proper staffing
  • Oversee and address critical issues, dependencies, and risks related to testing
  • Partner with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders to review and approve the overall testing approach
  • Manage/Develop test scenarios and execution of test cases across all testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation)
  • Ensure quality metrics are tracked and develop guidelines and best practices to ensure test plans and timelines are aligned with project/program milestones
  • Assist program/business testers during User Acceptance Testing
  • Drive greater automation test coverage throughout the product including GUI, API layers, services and database driven scripts
  • Support defining Performance Testing Strategy
  • Identify key metrics for monitoring increased performance and scalability
  • Provide guidance for performance test initiatives that take a true end-to-end focus on ensuring client side, server tiers, database and data integration jobs are performing as expected
  • Continuously
  • Pull test results to provide graphical reports for executive management
  • Provide ongoing training and guidance to junior team members
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience
  • Knowledge ofEIR Accessibility and required technical specifications (i.e. US Section 508 and WCAG2.0)
  • Prior experience with public health information systems and software applications
  • Prior experience using the Unified Functional Testing tool
  • Previous Project management expertise to structure work and timelines
  • Experience working on projects utilizing Agile project management methodologies
