Vice President, Global Learning and Development
Remote - USA
We are seeking a highly motivated Learning & Development VP for our global technology client. This position will be responsible for the strategic vision and tactical execution of a training and development program that grows their people and services. The role has high impact and visibility, offering a unique opportunity to build and shape the growing global organization. The VP will be responsible for standardizing and institutionalizing the training. 
 
Our client has a diligent focus on client engagement and with the intention to eventually market the training services to their clients as well.  The role will have tremendous visibility reporting to the CEO directly. The ideal candidate should have a former background working for one of the large consulting firms, ideally a significant role within an organization akin to Deloitte University.
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development
  • 10 years of L&D experience including experience in a high growth, tech or start up environment
  • Able to provide demonstrated success in building a corporate learning and development strategy
  • Able to create a framework for assessing, measuring and tracking L&D program success
  • International experience and/or managing programs and people across multiple office locations
  • Expertise with modern training methodologies, training tools and potential vendor partnerships
  • Experienced with creating engaging content for a variety of different audiences
  • Strong project management experience and proven delivery experience
  • Highly creative and innovative type
  • Extremely digitally literate, this could include Visual, Audio or Gaming for example
  • Display the highest professional standards, operating with a commercial mind-set, high client-centricity and being innovative by challenging the status quo
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with an executive presence
  • Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines within a fast-moving professional environment
  • Must have a strong background from a large global consulting firm or a significant global technology company
 
General Responsibilities:
  • Develop Learning Strategy and Curriculum by partnering with leadership to build skills and develop the culture that aligns with the business objectives
  • Work with Talent Management, HR  and other Department Leaders to understand gaps and needs for professional development
  • Create Corporate onboarding design, execution and coordination
  • Develop platforms that improve employee engagement by deepening skills and driving performance
  • Create cutting edge digital learning that grabs learners
  • Support the creation and deployment of virtual learning programs, integrating digital learning tools and approaches to create engagement, learning and impact
  • Manage all aspects of training lifecycle, to include training needs evaluation, development of new training programs, assessments, evaluation, marketing and communications of programs, budget and resource management, reporting and maintenance of training records, and vendor management
  • Establish approach for using in-house design, technologies and partners to ensure high quality learning solutions that drive skill development and practical application
  • Deliver key training sessions
  • Oversee the scheduling, logistics, communications, sourcing content or 3rd party training provider, and tracking of participation
