Network Security Engineer
Permanent Position
Location: North Dallas, TX


The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing strategy and security architecture to ensure a robust network for the organization. The chosen candidate will be responsible for reviewing and improving security solutions, designing, testing, and ongoing management of implemented technologies while overseeing a small team to ensure effective completion of tasks and the administration of chosen security protocols.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (additional years of experience/certifications  may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 7+ years of in-depth networking knowledge and experience with a heavy focus on the security areas
  • 3+ years of experience working with firewalls, VPN management (Fortinet or Cisco)
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Management, VMWare, MS Exchange
  • Cisco platform network knowledge (IOS, AOS, XE)
  • Security Solution including NAC, PAM (CyberArk), IAM (Opta or Windows Hello), IPS/IDS micro-segmentation

Preferred Requirements:
  • Advanced NGFW Firewall
  • SEIM/Security Analytics
  • Incident response/regulatory compliance experience

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement the security architecture to ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls to adequately protect the organization's most critical data
  • Direct the creation of sustainable procedures related to network security designs and solutions
  • Develop key initiatives to meet information security program requirements
  • Test and recommend advanced protection implementations to support the IT infrastructure
  • Manage, administer and support all implemented infrastructure systems and platforms
  • Provide additional escalation support for complex service desk requests
  • Manages LAN/WAN infrastructure (Layer 1,2, &3)
  • Monitors and test systems performance and provide performance statistics and reports
