MuleSoft Developer
Contract: 6-12 months + potential extension
Location:  Austin, TX (Hybrid)


Our client is seeking a MuleSoft API Developer  that will have responsibility for designing and connecting APIs that enable various applications to communicate with one another. The ideal Candidate will have strong hands-on technical experience with the MuleSoft development platform and a proven success of architecting, developing, and implementing enterprise level APIs with sound API security framework.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field
  • MuleSoft Developer Certification(s) preferred
  • 7+ years of experience with RESTful API development
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • 5+ years of experience with stateless RESTful API development and developing integrated APIs in the MuleSoft Enterprise platform
  • 5+ years of experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Previous experience with highly complex application security requirements
  • Previous experience with JSON Web Tokens
  • Strong experience with code reviews and in-depth code analysis
  • Previous integration experience with Salesforce applications preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills – written/verbal

Daily Duties:
  • Design and develop MuleSoft-based applications and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integrations
  • Perform stateless RESTful API gateway development using the MuleSoft Enterprise platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Implement best practices for API development, testing, and deployment
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues with MuleSoft APIs and integrations
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to API development and integration
  • Document APIs and integrations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Use Anypoint Studio to build, test, and debug basic integrations and API implementations
  • Responsible for all CI/CD related to MuleSoft applications (builds, creating pipelines using Jenkins/AWS DevOps, deployment using Anypoint runtime manager, etc.)
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
