Take on a pivotal role as the Procurement Manager, responsible for overseeing daily procurement activities at their Los Angeles area location. You will lead a team, manage supplier relationships, and implement process improvements to optimize operations.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field
Strong financial analysis capabilities
At least 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain and purchasing activities
Must have a background working in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Continuous Improvement methodology
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Effective problem-solving abilities
Understanding of risk management principles
Proven negotiation skills
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the procurement team
Source, negotiate, and execute agreements to meet business requirements
Drive continuous improvement
Implement process enhancements and provide support for commodity management
Contribute to the development and implementation of optimized processes as needed
Oversee day-to-day data collection and supplier improvement efforts
Drive changes in procurement operations to enhance efficiency
Identify and support initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving performance
Foster communication across departments to promote best practices and cost-saving initiatives
