Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, OR equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience working in an IT application support environment with (database management and application development)
2+ years proven experience in a tier 2 or lead role
Previous experience using SharePoint, Exchange, Yammer, and workflow collaboration tools
Working knowledge of SQL Databases & basic network configuration
Ability to diagnose & address application issues
Any previous experience with Ui Path or automation is helpful
Some knowledge of financial services and technology industry products and practices is helpful
Must have good analytical and organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency in solving problems
Must have effective written and verbal communication skills, and be extremely customer service oriented
Our client is in need of an Application Support Engineer for their Headquarters in the North Dallas area to provide technical support regarding a spectrum of software used and especially to assist with third party applications. The Applications Support Engineer will assist with bridging technology and business and owning the application lifecycle from concept through launch, with added integrations. The individual will collaborate and develop detailed application roadmap plans, feature details, and technical dependencies with the business. This position will influence the creation and modification of operational processes, troubleshoot performance issues, identify bottlenecks and optimize application and service performance to improve the overall end-user experience.
The Application Support Engineer needs both technical knowledge and “people” skills to this job well and collaborate with other team members, as well as customers. The ideal candidate will have at least a working knowledge of database management, different operating systems and different programming languages.
Provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 technical assistance to users with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of software/hardware
Ability to assist with integrating third party solutions
Propose systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of applications
Work with the development and infrastructure teams
Monitor the architecture of the third party vendor offerings to ensure continued compatibility with the organization’s technology portfolio
Develop, implement and maintain application and end-to-end solution documentation
Lead application training for internal IT support staff
