Senior Portfolio Manager
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote)
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Portfolio Manager, ideally with a background in private equity, to join our reputable client. This role can be performed remotely, with occasional travel.

The Senior Portfolio Manager role  is pivotal in developing and nurturing both existing and new relationships, delivering exceptional advisory solutions, managing ongoing portfolio risks, and driving organizational growth. The ideal candidate should be client-oriented and committed to fostering trust and delivering value by cultivating enduring relationships with high-level executives through outstanding communication, meticulous attention to detail, and efficient time management. Success in this position requires the individual to meet each essential duty with competence and professionalism.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • At least 5+ years in insurance, benefits, and risk management, preferably with a focus on private equity firms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges effectively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 and related tools
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel as required

Key Responsibilities:
  • Relationship Architect: Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with assigned private equity firms by providing exceptional, value-added services that resonate with both partner-level managers and C-suite executives.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and build new relationships with private equity firms and financial sponsors, showcasing the firm’s unique expertise and specialized solutions.
  • Holistic Solutions Delivery: Oversee the seamless integration of all offerings—including insurance, employee benefits, retirement planning, and due diligence consulting—ensuring clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their needs.
  • Collaboration Leader: Serve as a liaison between due diligence and broker teams, facilitating smooth transitions in insurance and employee benefits.
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver insightful reports to private equity management regarding the performance of portfolio company insurance programs, benefits plans, and retirement accounts.
  • Ongoing Risk Management: Partner with due diligence teams to provide continuous risk management consulting, leveraging proprietary technology to enhance client outcomes.
  • Sales Growth Driver: Collaborate with the M&A due diligence team, private equity partners, and portfolio companies to meet and exceed sales growth and key performance objectives.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Share specialized knowledge in next-generation self-funded employee benefits offerings with clients, prospects, and colleagues, enhancing the collective expertise.
  • Strategic Communicator: Maintain constant, clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high satisfaction levels and successful project execution.
