QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of work experience in managing helpdesk operations, including desktop support
  • Knowledge and experience in deploying service support systems such as ServiceNow and RemedyForce
  • 7+ years of work experience in managing server/systems enterprise-level infrastructure in a medium-to-large enterprise
  • 5+ years of progressive IT management experience leading, developing, and mentoring IT server/systems administration teams
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Active Directory, Windows Server, DHCP, DNS, GPO, VMware, MS Exchange, Office365, storage platform management, basic networking, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Visio
  • Strong preference for candidates with a previous background in the financial services arena or a highly regulated industry
  • Preferred certifications - MCSE, Windows Server Administration, HDI Support Center Manager, ITIL

The Compute Infrastructure and Server Support Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting and implementation of service support infrastructure and processes based on industry best practices to support a distributed organization.   This is an exciting opportunity with a significant growth trajectory, offering an excellent compensation package.  The benefits offered have won awards for being well above industry standard!
 
DAILY DUTIES
  • Define desktop engineering practices
  • Develop systems architecture, process flow diagrams, and other schematics necessary to ensure a complete understanding of the service support environment
  • Implement and maintain a service request system with full integration into other ITIL support processes such-as configuration, change and asset management, server and system administration, cloud services administration
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with accountability for staff to execute against the corporate business strategy and organizational goals
  • Oversee IT management/service support operations while ensuring clients are provided efficient and timely first contact support
  • Oversee IT server/system administration infrastructure while ensuring maximum availability of business services and regulatory/compliance standards
  • Manage and coordinate support issues and act as an escalation point for service management and systems administration requests and incidents to minimize the disruption of business due to systems problems
  • Create strong metrics to effectively manage the team’s performance
  • Develop departmental policies, standards, and procedures and ensures the team's adherence
  • Manage the team to pre-defined SLAs
