Education/Experience Requirements:
  • College or University degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in a variety of technology disciplines
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing teams and significant complex projects
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency as a Release Train Engineer
  • Experience working and delivering applications in a Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe)
  • Preferred certifications SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner Certification

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) will be part of the IT department and responsible for supporting and coaching an Agile Release Train (ART) by steering it to success and navigating the complexity of delivering software in cross-functional environments. The RTE will assist in resolving and escalating impediments, managing risk, and ensuring value delivery of projects while driving continuous improvements.

  • Serve as Scrum Master to a variety of teams with ongoing development projects
  • Assist in overall program/project planning and ensure cross-team dependencies are well-understood and modeled in project plans and timelines
  • Provide leadership and coaching to project teams
  • Create timelines and milestones for releases
  • Build strong team collaboration, commitment towards achieving sprint objectives
  • Oversee the development of reports related to program activity
  • Manage changes to the ART schedules and ensure strong collaboration and coordination to keep projects on track
  • Identify, document, and publish risks while defining resolution paths where required
  • Participate with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter expert to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Be an advocate to ensure everyone is adopting Agile and SAFe best practices and processes across the organization
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity
