GIS App Developer
Contract – 18-24 months
Location – Austin, TX (REMOTE)

  • BS/BA in Geography, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience developing software solutions with web technologies
  • Strong background developing in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C# and .Net; Expertise with ArcGIS, JavaScript API, REST, Angular, dojo, Nodejs and deployment with IIS.
  • Proficient in databases including SQL Server and PostgreSQL
  • Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure
  • Experience managing multiuser systems, databases, and environments
  • Fluency in ESRI suite of software, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, Collector for ArcGIS, Survey 123, Web App Builder Developer and custom widgets development
  • Ability to create, modify, and maintain custom scripts and routines for GIS processes automation and applications using ArcGIS API for Python, FME and arcpy
  • Some exposure with cloud platforms such as AWS is beneficial

Our Client is an elite organization relied upon to provide trustworthy, up to the minute GIS data. We are currently recruiting for a GIS App Developer to join the organization for a new exciting project (18-24 months).   The ideal candidate will have a minimum 8+ years of experience in a similar capacity.**The role will be fully remote IN TEXAS and requires individuals that are responsible and dedicated with minimal supervision**

Daily Duties:
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining all ESRI Apps in current environment
  • Support users in App development through the self-serve environment
  • Provide enhancements to the existing Apps
  • Configure new ESRI Apps as needed
  • Work closely with GIS architects to ensure all GIS development standards and guidelines are adhered to
  • Maintain and support application according to changing business requirements
  • Assist in data integrity and quality assurance activities to ensure application stability
  • Ensure that application architecture meets business requirements
  • Design, code and integrate application with database management systems
  • Test applications and perform bug fixes
  • Ensure proper code documentation
  • Develop system problem reports and make recommendations for development initiatives to increase programming efficiency
  • Coordinate with training team staff to roll out application training and documentation modules
