Certified Payroll Accountant
Location: Dallas, TX

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
  • 5+ years of related experience required including experience with international exposure
  • Certified Payroll Accountant's Certificate
  • Assist with preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with payroll software

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
  • Serve as key liaison between the human resources and finance department to maintain accurate employee payroll information
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
  • Conduct monthly closures and a variety of bookkeeping or payment updates
  • Ensure ongoing compliance and payments to IRS and Social Security
  • Ensure payroll systems integrity and compliance
  • Annual 401k company match audits and true-up process, Non-discrimination testing
  • Recommend changes in methods or procedures to improve the efficiency of the payroll function
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance with agencies legislation regarding employment and employee matters
