Sr. Security Engineer
Location: North Dallas, Texas (Hybrid)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, OR equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in overall network topology, network security, internet, intranet, extranet technologies and operating systems
  • 6+ years of technical security experience including Firewall, NGFW, IPS, SIEM, SOAR, endpoint security, sandbox, DLP, mail security, IDAM (SSO, PAM, MFA, IAM), cloud/virtualization, incident response, VTM, TCP/IP, Python
  • Some familiarity and experience with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, PCI
  • Certifications preferred - CISSP, Fortinet ISE, Cisco CCNP, Splunk
  • Prior experience using email security gateways and ideally Proofpoint or Microsoft Exchange/Online
  • Strong experience with email encryption
  • Strong experience with Advance Disaster Recovery and Data Protection
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, and team oriented
  • Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organizations
  • Ability to travel to a variety of locations to perform work and/or attend meetings as required
Our client is looking to add to their Cyber Security team and in need of a Sr. Security Engineer to oversee architecture, technical controls, appropriate tools and be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure frameworks,  identity access management, single sign-on, multi-factor, privileged access management, cloud security, data security and forensics.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple programs; they will also have the ability to cultivate strategic business partnerships acting as one of the SMEs for the organization when it comes to security.

  • Responsible for designing, developing and managing the organization’s security platforms and solutions
  • Strong focus on enhancement of the security architecture, technical controls and tools; email security, cloud infrastructure, security tools, infrastructure tools, networking, Windows AD
  • Assist with automating front line analyst processes including event triage, analysis and response
  • Consult with IT technical services staff to evaluate, select, install and configure hardware and software systems that provide appropriate security functions
  • Regularly perform security checks and troubleshooting 
  • Identify problems in a timely manner
  • Suggest and implement solutions for improvement
  • Track existing processes and offer solutions for improvement
  • Implement new processes with the goal to optimize company's security system
  • Stay up to date with latest security technology and trends
  • Work with the development and infrastructure teams 
  • Perform regular audits and provide reports
  • Monitor company's server traffic and tickets
  • Identify and elevate security risks to management
  • Assist in remediation and responses to audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments, and recommend the application of controls, fixes, patches and disaster recovery procedures
