Sr. IT Business Analyst - #1482

Sr. IT Business Analyst
Contract Opportunity: 12-18 months
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – onsite 3days/week)

We are in need of a Sr. IT Business Analyst for a long-term project to assist an IT Contract Administration team in creating requirements, statements of work, while also performing analysis/development tasks and other related functions for our highly respected client in Austin, TX. Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience in a Business Analysis capacity
  • At least 5 years of experience creating mockups, charts, diagrams, and tables
  • At least 3 years of project management/leadership
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and preparing specifications for purchasing/procurement methods and procedures
  • Experience with creating and documenting requirements using Agile and/or other SDLC development methodologies
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office products (Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Some experience or prior exposure to with Salesforce, JIRA environment and Microsoft SharePoint is helpful
  • Ability to write and document business and technical requirements effectively
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment with local and remote teams
  • Demonstrate patience and flexibility to adjust to changing workplace demands
  • Ability to meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication skills - strong written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Good problem-solving skills

Project duties:
  • Work with users to evaluate business needs, analyze processes, and document decisions for work related to requirement gathering and statement of work (SOW) development
  • Attend meetings with subject matter experts and business users to coordinate activities
  • Prepare mockups, charts, diagrams, and tables that depict the present and/or proposed requirements
  • Create reports and dashboards as needed for management and internal staff 
  • Work with users in an Agile environment to assist in the creation of user stories for the system development
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly, accurately, and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Participate and/or lead in project management, coordination, planning, and scheduling
  • Create and maintain schedules for assigned projects and assignments as needed
  • Provide consultation/knowledge transfer to business users and technical resources
