Business Analyst – Welfare Case Management Contract: 6-12 months Location: Austin, TX *The selected consultant can work remotely, but may be required attend meetings in Austin, TX with minimal notice. NO OUT OF STATE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED.**

Qualifications/Requirements
BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
8+years of experience as a Business Analyst in an enterprise level environment
5+years of background knowledge of child and adult welfare systems
5+years of experience developing Use Case documentation and User Stories that lead to clearly defined and numbered project requirements
Experience with analyzing and/or implementing child welfare case management information systems (CCWIS)
Experience with assessments and strategic planning
Must have prior experience facilitating and leading groups (defining project goals, needs, scope and priorities)
Ability to deliver presentations and project progress to collaborators and stakeholders
Solid experience with the Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project, and Visio)
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodologies
Some knowledge of the Texas Project Delivery Framework
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Daily Responsibilities:
Perform advanced business and systems analysis work that involves gathering, developing, and documenting business processes, and recommendations
Gather and analyze information from internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts
Convert findings into meaningful documentation for use by the division leadership team
Conduct research and special project work
Collaborate with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to support the organization’s long-term business goals/strategy for the organization’s case management system
Develop reports, fiscal notes, and presentations
