Business Analyst – Welfare Case Management
Contract: 6-12 months
Location: Austin, TX
*The selected consultant can work remotely, but may be required attend meetings in Austin, TX with minimal notice.  NO OUT OF STATE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED.**

This is a great opportunity to showcase your self-managed abilities within a high-profile client.  The Business Analyst must be a strong team-player, self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

Qualifications/Requirements
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
  • 8+years of experience as a Business Analyst in an enterprise level environment
  • 5+years of background knowledge of child and adult welfare systems
  • 5+years of experience developing Use Case documentation and User Stories that lead to clearly defined and numbered project requirements
  • Experience with analyzing and/or implementing child welfare case management information systems (CCWIS)
  • Experience with assessments and strategic planning
  • Must have prior experience facilitating and leading groups (defining project goals, needs, scope and priorities)
  • Ability to deliver presentations and project progress to collaborators and stakeholders
  • Solid experience with the Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project, and Visio)
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodologies
  • Some knowledge of the Texas Project Delivery Framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills  
     
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced business and systems analysis work that involves gathering, developing, and documenting business processes, and recommendations
  • Gather and analyze information from internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Convert findings into meaningful documentation for use by the division leadership team
  • Conduct research and special project work
  • Collaborate with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to support the organization’s long-term business goals/strategy for the organization’s case management system
  • Develop reports, fiscal notes, and presentations
