IT Business Analyst
Chicago, IL (currently remote but must be local to Chicago and WFH Flexibility)
Contract: 6 months+
Our client is in need of an IT Business Analyst with a strong background in requirements gathering, testing and training for a long-term project to work on numerous interesting and ongoing IT projects. This is an elite organization that requires the BA team to serve as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role
- Excellent background with requirements gathering, testing and training for large IT projects
- Experience in effective general written/oral communication, including documenting requirements, deliverables, test scenarios and project status
- Experience supporting large corporate initiatives (project monitoring, enhancement communications, escalations, etc.)
- Experience working on projects utilizing Agile project management methodologies is preferable
- Strong experience with Microsoft toolset – Word, Project, Visio, Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management software
- Excellent communication skills – written/verbal
- Highly organized individual with a history of self-direction, creativity and ability to meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Work with a variety business partners to align technology solutions with business strategies
- Gather, document and refine business requirements for the IT organization
- Serve as a liaison across multiple facets of the business community and the IT organization
- Provide sound technical solutions to meet user needs by leveraging gathered knowledge
- Perform requirements analysis and document specific requirements
- Uncover areas for improvement and enhancements while developing risk mitigation strategies
- Coordinate changes to user and system requirements
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
- Effectively communicate all user and system requirements to cross-functional team members and management
- Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
- May be required to facilitate testing for Web Based applications
- Help prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion/implementation of projects
