Certified Business Analyst (CBAP)
Contract Opportunity – 18 months + potential extension
Location – REMOTE – Austin, TX Area (must be onsite for On-Boarding, Training, and some Requirements Gathering Sessions)


**The Consultant will be working remotely for this role but must be able to go into Austin, TX on as needed basis.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Excellent background in System Analysis and Design
  • Experience supporting large corporate or government initiatives (project monitoring, enhancement communications, escalations, etc.)
  • Previous Project management expertise working with various stakeholders within the whole SDLC
  • CBAP certification is highly desirable
  • Experience working on projects utilizing Agile project management methodologies
  • Prior experience working for a State of Texas Agency as an Employee or Contractor
  • Strong experience with Microsoft toolset – Word, Project, Visio, Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – written/verbal
Our government client needs a strong Business Analyst for a long-term project to work on numerous interesting and ongoing projects. The Business Analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.

Daily Duties:
  • Collaborate with clients, technicians, and managerial staff to gather requirements and evaluate business processes
  • Perform requirements analysis and document specific requirements
  • Uncover areas for improvement and enhancements by analyzing program policies and procedures with automated systems
  • Perform root cause analyses
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings with corrective action plans
  • Effectively communicate all requirements to cross-functional team members and management
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Facilitate all testing for Web Based applications
  • Help prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion/implementation of projects
