Enterprise Application Administrator
Contract Length:  1 year with plans to renew beyond

Location:  Houston, TX or Midland, TX (Hybrid 2 days per week onsite in either Houston or Midland office)

Position Summary:       
Join our IT Operations Team as an IT Systems Administrator/Engineer, where you will be pivotal in deploying, managing, optimizing, and supporting a diverse suite of enterprise applications, custom IIS & SQL-based solutions, and business process automation tools. Leverage your expertise across the full technology stack, focusing on platform integrations, using APIs and webhooks to connect enterprise applications, ITSM platforms, and automate workflows that enhance business processes.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in IT operations with an emphasis on application, network, or systems administration
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing complex, multi-tiered enterprise applications
  • In-depth knowledge of networking (DNS, NAT, firewall policies, web application firewalls), server administration, and virtualization (VMware, Azure)
  • Experience with platforms such as ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, IHS Kingdom, IHS EDM, Tibco Spotfire, Schlumberger Petrel and Studio, Halo ITSM, SolarWinds, Office 365 Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and custom .NET web applications with SQL backends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, security, and performance optimization

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain mission-critical enterprise applications
  • Implement custom applications hosted on IIS with SQL Server backends
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application stack, leveraging deep knowledge of network, server, and virtualization fundamentals
  • Administer and support the IT Service Management platform, including developing workflows
  • Design, build, and manage automated workflows that streamline business processes, trigger webhooks, and connect with external systems via API calls (e.g., automatically creating ITSM tickets from SolarWinds alerts)
  • Develop and manage automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Security team to enforce compliance with security standards across workflows, data exchanges, and application configurations
  • Enable and support system integrations across platforms using APIs, webhooks, and automation tools for improved interoperability
  • Serve as the primary contact for application vendor support, handling upgrades, vulnerability management, and day-to-day support
  • Develop process documentation, workflows, knowledge articles, and self-service guides
  • Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of new applications and technologies, ensuring smooth implementation and adherence to industry best practices
