Associate, Portfolio Management
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Hybrid)

We are seeking a dynamic, data-driven Associate, Portfolio Management to join a growing team and support our client’s Private Equity partners. This fast-paced role combines data analysis, project management, and client interaction, offering variety each day. You will help improve portfolio performance through reporting, risk assessment, and cost analysis while building relationships with C-suite executives and collaborating with senior team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, project management, insurance, or risk management
  • Familiarity with insurance brokers or portfolio companies is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with C-suite executives
  • Solid financial acumen and analytical thinking
  • Willingness to travel domestically
  • Insurance licensure is not required but can be supported if desired

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze portfolio performance data to provide actionable insights and recommendations
  • Assess risk, including monitoring claims trends and employee benefit costs, to mitigate issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with private equity executives, delivering insights and solutions
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of portfolio solutions (insurance, benefits, retirement)
  • Prepare performance reports for private equity firms on insurance programs, benefits plans, and retirement accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams (due diligence, brokers) to manage risk and client transitions
  • Assist in identifying and driving sales opportunities, collaborating with M&A teams and partners
  • Share expertise on self-funded employee benefits with clients and colleagues
