Sr. Business Analyst
Contract Position – 12 months
Location: Austin, TX – ONSITE *Please do not apply if you are not willing to be onsite 100% of the time

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Business Analyst to gather, analyze, and document user requirements, business processes, and challenges to automate or enhance existing systems, as well as identify and document business needs for new system development.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of highly complex/senior level business analyst experience software using Agile Scrum methodology.
  • State or Federal government work experience
  • CSM or ITIL certification
     
Skills and Competencies:
  • Expertise developing project deliverables (charters, design docs, test plans, risk assessments)
  •  Skilled in identifying business process improvements through automation
  • Experienced in designing/reviewing test cases and processing change requests
  • Strong communicator, able to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and quality assurance
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end SDLC of application changes using Agile and Scrum
  • Ensure change management documentation is organized in a TDA-approved centralized system
  • Facilitate meetings and training for various audiences, including executive status updates and staff training
  • Analyze program policies and their impact on automated systems
  • Manage the requirements repository for clarity and consistency
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in new system proposals
  • Develop and oversee project management deliverables, including charters, plans, and risk strategies
  • Consult on application analysis, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions
  • Provide quality assurance for projects and initiatives
  • Develop and review test cases, process change requests, and manage project scope, acceptance, and deployment
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring optimal value and approving invoices
