Performance Test Engineer
Contract Position – 6 months+
Location:  Remote


We are seeking a talented and motivated Performance Test Engineer to ensure software systems meet the highest standards of performance and scalability.  You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our application solutions. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, design and execute performance tests, and maintain performance testing frameworks.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or similar tools.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., JProfiler, New Relic, AppDynamics, Grafana) for analyzing system performance.
  • Proficiency in test tools such as JUnit, Selenium, HP test suite, or similar tools for automating tests and verifying performance.
  • Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, including bottleneck identification, stress testing, and resource optimization.
  • Proficiency in an Object-Oriented programming language such as Java or C# for developing and automating test scripts.
  • Solid understanding of software development and testing methodologies, with the ability to work collaboratively in agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for test management and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Eclipse as an integrated development environment (IDE).
  • Experience with Jenkins, CVS, Maven, and Ant for continuous integration and build automation.
  • Proficiency in working with DB2 databases and writing SQL queries for performance testing and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute performance tests for various software applications and systems to ensure they meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and document performance bottlenecks and issues using industry-standard performance testing tools.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand application architecture, identify areas for optimization, and suggest performance improvements.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain performance testing frameworks and scripts to automate testing processes.
  • Analyze performance test results, generate detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations, etc.) to ensure performance considerations are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
