IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Contract: 12-18 months
Location: Remote, TX

**The Contractor can work remotely but will be required to work ON SITE as needed in Austin, TX once Covid safety protocols are in place.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
  • PMP certification (PMI) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) - PREFERRED
  • At least 6+ years of experience working as a Project Manager
  • Experience managing projects with hardware-based deliverables
  • Experience with general IT SDLC processes and on Agile Projects utilizing SCRUM (estimating, planning, forecasting)
  • Understanding of business and technical objectives of a project
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations as well as complex business processes
  • Some on-call support may be required depending on project phase
  • Must possess good communication and organizational skills
  • Must be skilled in the use of Jira for tracking agile projects
Our client is an elite organization relied upon to provide trustworthy, up to the minute data regarding infectious diseases and infection rates related to a variety of initiatives. The Consultant will be working to establish the project scope and schedule, establish Agile sprint cycles, manage risks and issues, and provide project status reports to executive leadership.  This specific position will be responsible for managing technical deliverables including new hardware, middle ware installation and the migration of applications to the new hardware. 

Daily Duties:
  • Complete infrastructure specifications
  • Review and accept hardware recommendations
  • Modify existing applications as needed to enable them to run in the new environment
  • Establish milestone schedules and sprint schedules
  • Facilitate meetings (daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective)
  • Document and manage risks and issues relating to all project matters
  • Ensure proper conflict resolution to move project forward
  • Provide weekly/project status updates (written and verbal)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders
