IT Project Manager – Nutrition Systems
Location: Austin, Texas (onsite)
Contract Position: 12months+

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of large-scale software development initiatives within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational and state standards.

This position offers the opportunity to lead high-impact technology initiatives that directly improve operational effectiveness and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and skilled at driving results through collaboration and clear communication.

Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience as a Project Manager leading multi-stakeholder software rollouts.
  • 8 years of experience managing or working on software application teams using SDLC, PMLC, and Agile Scrum.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in information systems, system integration, and project delivery.
  • 4  years of experience as a Project Manager using the Texas Project Delivery Framework.
  • 4 years of experience with major Information Resources Projects.
  • 1 year of experience with Automated Nutrition Systems.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of the Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS) development and transition, including software development, data migration, reporting, training, and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, deliverables, resource allocations, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure deliverables meet established quality, scope, and schedule expectations.
  • Manage scope and change control processes, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated.
  • Lead project teams, assign tasks, and coordinate activities to promote accountability and timely delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while managing issue resolution and escalation as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to established project management frameworks, standards, and policies.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • Support the development of evaluation criteria for project performance and deliverables.
