We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RPA Software Engineer for our client in Austin. The Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining automation solutions that drive operational efficiency and improve service delivery across all business areas.
The ideal candidate is an experienced RPA developer with deep hands-on expertise in Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure, as well as strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex processes. This role requires someone who can operate independently, work closely with business stakeholders, and contribute meaningfully within an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years hands-on software development or RPA development experience
4+ years developing automation solutions specifically with Blue Prism
Blue Prism Certification and/or Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification
Strong proficiency with web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, DOM manipulation, and HTTP protocol
Experience with RESTful web services and integration patterns
Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data-driven automation
Experience with API development and system-to-system integrations
Background in process discovery, requirements gathering, and solution architecture
Experience programming in C#, Java, or Python
Working knowledge of Azure infrastructure, including monitoring and troubleshooting cloud resources
Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban)
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate
Communicates clearly and works well in a hybrid, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities: RPA Design & Development
Architect, design, and develop end-to-end RPA solutions using Blue Prism, Power Automate, and supporting Azure components.
Configure, script, and enhance automation workflows based on business requirements and technical specifications.
Create well-structured, scalable, maintainable automation assets that adhere to HHSC and industry best practices.
Technical Implementation & Troubleshooting
Develop, test, validate, and deploy bots across multiple environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures, including issues related to HTTP responses, DOM elements, web interactions, and system integrations.
Perform code reviews, root-cause analysis, and continuous optimization of existing automations.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
Work closely with business teams to analyze requirements, identify automation opportunities, and translate needs into technical solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-team collaboration.
Recommend improvements, technical enhancements, and new tools/approaches to strengthen automation capabilities.
Documentation & Standards
Prepare detailed technical documentation, solution designs, test plans, and deployment guides.
Ensure all RPA solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards.
Follow established SDLC, governance, and change management protocols.
